One of Hip-Hop's most respected lyricists, Rakim, explained his thoughts on an array of topics like his upcoming album, his thoughts on J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar, and who truly possesses Hip-Hop, during a recent interview with Montreality.

When speaking on the subject of Hip-Hop appealing to an infinite audience, Rakim reasoned, "It's not just about what you see in videos, it's not just about what you hear on the radio, it's not just about the media's vision of Hip-Hop. You got people everywhere -- you got people 50 and 65 years old driving around in a car somewhere listening to Hip-Hop like this." He soon added that the evolving genre has expanded its reach to impact people from "all walks of life."

Watch the interview in its entirety to learn what he has to say about the talented artists Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole and Hip-Hop's new generation of wordsmiths, the message he has for today's youth, and the biggest lie that has ever been told and how it relates to God.
