Earlier this week on Wednesday, T.I. and fellow ATL rapper Kap G visited CNN to discuss Kap's recently released track "La Policia (Remix)." The song, which features Tip, highlights the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown. David Banner is also featured on the remix, though he did not appear on the cable news network. Don Lemon hosted the interview that examined the extreme lyricism, the possible danger it may spark, and their thoughts regarding race relations and police interactions.

The convo commenced with T.I. revealing, "I think there is a disregard in underserved areas of society when it comes to interaction with law enforcement. I think there is a resentment, a undeniable fear law enforcement have for young minorities and it is reflected in their actions." The Trouble Man then added, "Of course that leads to angry lyrics because our music historically has been a reflection of the circumstances, so if you don't like our lyrics you should change the circumstances that inspire them."

Soon, the Mexican-American Kap G offered his insight regarding a disheartening encounter that he had after being racially profiled. Candor opened his comment, "I'm not afraid of police, it's just you see on the news, everyday life, the things that they're doing is just not good right now," he said. "The reason I wrote ["La Policia"] is because I was racially profiled. Me being Mexican-American, the whole situation, two years ago I got pulled over, the whole situation was unfair. They just wanted to check my car, asked for my ID because they thought I was illegal."

During the intense debate, when the MCs were challenged with the notion that their perspective may propel violence, T.I. said that they're simply "calling for the death of our people to end."
