Karrine Steffans sat down with VladTV recently to discuss the book that truly made her a star, "Confessions of a Video Vixen." Steffans spoke of the instant fame that came with the book's publication, saying she wasn't at all prepared for the changes that took place overnight.

During the in-depth conversation, Steffans also reveals that the wildly popular book actually only took 30 days to write because her publishers wanted to rush the book and get it into stores immediately. She was hesitant to write the book initially, as the idea seemed a little "too big" and a bit intimidating. However, after speaking with friends, she was encouraged to actually put pen to paper and document her never-boring life for the millions of fans who eventually picked up the now infamous read.

One aspect of the book that spoke to many readers was Steffans' very abusive relationship with her mother, something she says still affects her to this day, as her mother taught her the "language of violence" at an early age.
