Atlanta rapper J Money recently sat down with DJ Smallz to talk about his former affiliation with Soulja Boy and his SODMG label.

J Money says that he tried to have a working relationship with Soulja Boy and credits himself with telling him to drop his 'Juice' mixtape on livemixtapes.com. While he says working with Soulja was good for the Internet, as a street rapper he feels it alienated him from his true fans. He reveals that he and Soulja Boy never signed official paperwork and that the "Crank Dat" rapper wasn't interested in working as much as he was in smoking and kicking it. He declares it the worst decision he's made in his career because people still attach his name to the SODMG conglomerate.

The "Sauce God" rapper also gives insight on other rappers who have aligned themselves with Soulja such as Lil B and Riff Raff, noting that each artist attained a higher level of success once they split ways with Soulja Boy.  J says, "[Soulja] has the eye, I just think he gets jealous when he sees that people start liking [these artists] more than him."
