The anticipation of Ultimate Rap League's Rookies vs. Vets event has grown far more intense with the announcement of the matchup between URL frontman Smack White and comedic giant Jack Thriller.

The buzz surrounding the bout commenced with Thriller issuing numerous challenges to the battle rap mogul over social media outlets. The Atlanta native can be seen in videos on Instagram with cameo appearances by Shotgun Suge as well as T-Top accusing Smack of ducking him and even adding stipulations that the loser of the contest would face. Jack even provided fans with an appetizing preview of him lyrically attacking Mr. White, thus adding fuel to the excitement of the showdown.

The owner of the most respected rap league made a swift response to the G-Unit comedian by stating that he "might have to kill" his opponent at the March 28 event. Smack also hinted that he may be sitting on a plethora of bars that he has developed during his long career as a battle rap icon. He also replied to the king of pop comedy's lyrical jabs by trading a few of his own in text form.

Smack White, whom many regard as the godfather of battle rap, has had an undeniable impact on the culture ever since he debuted his first DVD back in 2003 and is responsible for introducing the world to legendary spitters such as Murda Mook, Loaded Lux, and T-Rex among others. The Queens representative single-handedly elevated battle events from local barbershops and sneaker stores in New York City to the phenomenal venues that fans all over the world enjoy today.

Jack Thriller is the first comedian to sign to G-Unit records and is no stranger to battle rap, having what most would describe as scrimmages against various top-tier competitors such as Arsonal, Big T, Conceited, Charlie Clips and plenty more. His appearances on Nick Cannon's Wild 'N Out where he went bar for bar with other cast members and celebrities can also be credited to his resume.

Will Smack be able to use his experience in the battle rap culture and his ear for recruiting top-notch talent to his advantage while on the main stage, or will Jack Thriller's comedic value give in the edge?
