Fresh off the release of his superb LP Love Sex Passion, R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn sat down with VladTV for an exclusive interview. In the segment above, he recollects his humble beginnings from DC, while also discussing his long-time friendship with fellow DMV representative Wale, as he described him as an extremely ambitious individual since day one.

When further speaking on Wale's hard work ethic, he delves into how they were formally introduced, and states that if Wale was presented to him differently, there could've been a possibility of them having a partnership set in place at the time, mainly involving DMV artists.

Although the pair's business venture didn't come to fruition, Raheem seems to be in happier place these days, as he talks about his own crop of artists signed to his independent label. He later commends Wale for not only his body of work and progression over the years, but he also lists him as one of the many artists holding down the torch for the DMV, and bringing attention to the area more than ever.
