An Ohio teenager was left brokenhearted after he flew 7,000 miles to Jiangshan, China to meet a girl he became infatuated with online. The 18-year-old, only known as "Pratt," was found unconscious and suffering from hypothermia after getting drunk and falling in the Xu River.

According to the Daily Mail, Pratt told the girl that he would visit her in China, but it's likely that she didn't believe that he would travel across the world to see her. After calling her several times, only for his number to be blocked, the teen became depressed over the rejection and started drinking.

Police found him in bad shape near the Xu River, "He was unconscious and lying in a pool of his own vomit. It looks as if he might have fallen in the water at some stage as his clothes and shoes were soaked. To be honest he was so inebriated, he could easily have drowned. It was only a short distance to the water."

Officers tracked down the girl who refused to meet with Pratt even after hearing that he almost died. While things didn't turn out the way he planned, the hotel where they teen was staying let him bunk for free after hearing his story.

He has since recovered from his wild night out in China, and has returned to Ohio.
