Thursday (Feb. 26), BBC's Radio 1 published an exclusive interview with Kanye West. In it, Radio 1's Zane Lowe, who has interviewed the Chicago emcee once before, established a sincere rapport with West. Lane's questioning elicited earnest honesty and an emotional display from 'Ye.

While conversing about deceased fashion designer Louise Wilson, Kanye got choked up to the piont that he had to take a break from the interview to regain his composure. The "FourFiveSeconds" MC's admiration and respect for Louise is palpable, "I went to Louise Wilson's memorial. You know, the greatest fashion instructor of all time. And I'm talking about of all-timers. So, Louise Wilson was the baddest professor of all time for any fashion school ever."

The "Can't Tell Me Nothing" lyricist reflected on poignant memories he had with Wilson. He stated, "The last time I saw her we had dinner at Hakkasan. Which is my favorite restaurant in London. And I think she knew she was going to pass. She just wanted to give me some words of advice moving forward. She asked me about my daughter and asked me about my wife. And she said, 'So many students don't give it their all. And the problem is anytime they do anything half-way good -- when they're two years old, three years old-- their parents clap. She just looked at me and said, 'Kanye, don't clap.'

Perhaps Wilson's advice in conjunction with his insatiable ascent to achieve greatness is helping to motivate Kanye's relentless drive. Skip to the 24-minute mark to witness Kanye's passionate reaction that led to tears.

The thorough interview also broached the topic of blending musical genres, plus featured Kanye calling Drake the hottest rapper out right now and giving him some advice on his career, and tips for breaking into the fashion industry as well.
