According to RawStory, Cincinnati Fox News 8 anchor Kristi Capel has been suspended for three days. On Monday (Feb. 23), Capel was co-reporting on the Oscars. There she voiced her appreciation of Lady Gaga's 'Sound of Music' tribute, saying she liked because it did not sound like her normal "j***boo music."
Realizing her on-camera faux pas, Capel took to Twitter to issue an apology for the racist remark. The same apology was also sent to each person who complained.
Yesterday (Feb. 25), Cleveland 8 released a statement stating Capel had been suspended for three days. "Kristi Capel will not be anchoring 'Fox 8 News in the Morning' for the remainder of the week," confirmed the station.
