While states like Alaska, Colorado and Oregon have allowed people to safely possess marijuana, a group of men in Las Vegas are facing major jail time for a drug bust that expanded to three homes last week.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the police busted Zhiwen Lin, 37; Jianguo Han, 63; and Bing Han, 36, last Friday for growing the drug in their homes. The operation involving the police and the SWAT unit discovered over 1,000 plants, guns and $5,000 in cash. Metro narcotics Lt. Laz Chavez called the discovery "impressive" since most of the city's drug busts only manage to grab 100 to 150 plants.

Upon their discovery, police also found hydroponic systems, ecstasy and 3 grams of methamphetamine. The suspects were allegedly from China and used the Vegas homes as their growing stations where they stole electricity to keep up their operation. Police claim the group also cloned their drugs with dangerous chemicals and used an unsafe amount of electricity that could have caused a massive fire.
