Now that the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather has been confirmed for May 2nd, Pacquiao released a video Saturday afternoon expressing his excitement.
The boxer released the video and discussed his joy on finally stepping in the ring with Mayweather. "Let's get it on!" he said. "The fans deserve it. I'm excited because the fans are excited." The Filipino fighter seemed calm and cool in the video, but released a photo of his contract on Instagram the day before. In the post, Pacquiao shows that he signed the contract first and that he was always ready to fight Mayweather.
"Finally he sign the contract so the fight is on,'" he captioned the photo. "This is what I'm talking about that I sign already before, I'm just explaining to the fans and to prove that I'm not lying, i have the fear of the Lord.
'So this is it! The fight is on fans you deserve it thank you. To God be all the Glory."
Critics aren't thrilled about the fight claiming that the challenge is five years too late. On the other hand, fans are thrilled about the fight between both fighters with rooms close to being sold out at the The MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
