Mya opened up about her studio regimen during an exclusive interview with VladTV, and explains that there are different phases to her preparation. The D.C.-born singer admits that in addition to recording in the studio, she will spend three hours a day in the gym to prep for a tour. 

Speaking more about her fitness, Mya says that she really started to rethink her fitness goals after injuring her ankle on "Dancing With the Stars," leading her to gain 25 pounds. The singer says she did a lot of research of nutrition and fitness, and believes that she understands what her body needs now.
