A Florida man with good intentions was placed under arrest for tackling a man in a local Wal-Mart for carrying a gun.

According to the Washington Times, Michael Foster confronted Clarence Daniels in a Wal-Mart parking lot when he spotted the gun on Daniels. What Foster didn't know was that the 62-year-old had a license permit allowing him to carry the gun. Foster followed him into the store, jumped on him and placed him in a headlock while screaming that he had a gun.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's spokesperson Larry McKinnon says the act was in good spirit, but since Daniels had the proper permit for the gun, it could have ended differently.

"Unfortunately, he tackled a guy that was a law-abiding citizen," McKinnon said. "We understand it's alarming for people to see other people with guns, but Florida has a large population of concealed weapons permit holders. You better make sure there's a good reason. Otherwise you might be confronting a guy that is legally permitted to carry a gun."

Foster was charged with one count of battery.
