A Lakeland, Florida woman was arrested last month for using her van as collateral so she could pay a hitman to kill her husband.

According to ABC News, Tanya Demirhan contacted a hitman to kill her husband of 17 years, Atilla Demirhan. Demirhan was actually talking to an undercover cop who filmed their conversation on a camera hidden in his car. The 47-year-old didn't have the $10,000 fee to go through with the hit, so she exchanged their business' van as a form of payment to the hitman. The couple owns a pizza parlor in Lakeland. Police kept up the ruse long enough to take the woman into custody.

After sobbing and screaming her sorrows about the supposed loss of her husband, Demirhan was informed the jig was up. The cop that played the hit man also approached her during the interrogation and showed her his badge.

Demirhan was arrested and charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder. She has since denied the murder-for-hire charges and claims she never met the undercover officer before.
