In an interview with DJ Smallz, O.T Genasis speaks on his relationship with his son and if he will let him pursue a career in music. The rapper speaks highly of his 4-year-old and says his duties as a father come before his budding rap career. Genasis says he realized how much his music had an effect on his toddler after making an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

"He's always rapping," he said. "I performed on Jimmy Fallon and he watches it over and over and says, 'I wanna see Daddy' and grabs the little mic and her performs when I perform. It's a beautiful thing."

While it can be hard for him while touring, the rapper says staying in his lane and caring for his son works for him. As far as giving advice to other rappers, he suggests to move at your own pace and don't follow the career path of others.

"I'm a father," he said. " What they f*** are they going to tell me? You have to respect that. Just like anybody has to respect me to do my music. I got to be respected as a father, as an artist and I'm going to be respected as a man. So just stay in your lane and do you, always."
