WBC middleweight champion boxer Jermain Taylor has just released a statement addressing the incident in which he was arrested and charged with 5 counts of assault after allegedly opening gunfire at a Martin Luther King Jr. parade in Arkansas. While hearing Taylor speak out on the incident so soon is surprising, the most unusual aspect of the video is that he recorded it while taking a bath.

"I know y'all disappointed in me ... I'm sorry if I let anybody down or hurt anybody."

In the video where he apologizes for firing off the handgun, Taylor expressed his disappointment in the children at the parade not being provided with any candy.

"Y'all need to get it together," Taylor said to event organizers. "I had my little girl out there. Nobody had no candy."

He went on to say that he's willing to do the time for his actions, but that he won't pretend to have a drug problem in an effort to serve less time, saying "If I gotta go to jail, I'm gonna sit my a** in there ... but I'm not gonna say I have no problems with no drugs to get out of jail ... I worked too hard for my life to put that in it. So you can kiss my a**."

Taylor has less than 24 hours to turn himself back in to police. Check out the video yourself above.
