Wale recently sat down with Aladdin "Prince of the Airwaves" and shared a little behind-the-scenes footage of his hometown tour stop in Washington, D.C. as he prepped for his fourth performance at popular D.C. venue, The Fillmore.

The "Ambition" rhymer shares that he actually took a year off from touring and needs practice to get his bounce and rhythm back while performing on-stage, even admitting that he sometimes forgets the words to his older material. That being said, he feels many people don't realize how much effort goes into making a Hip-Hop show work and also how expensive it can be traveling with an entire band as opposed to just a DJ.

In the end, he's proud of the fact that he can put on other artists from the DMV through his Every Blue Moon brand which is set to combine artists and designers determined to change the future.

Check out the behind-the-scenes clip above.
