Bobby Shmurda's right hand man has released his first statement since being arrested earlier this month.
According to Kollege Kidd, Rowdy Rebel showed love to his supporters before Christmas during a phone call with a female friend. The GS9 rapper thanked his fans for keeping their names buzzing amid the troubling charges the Brooklyn native is facing. Rebel is facing attempted murder conspiracy to commit murder, attempted assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.
Prosecutors claim Rowdy took part in a shooting in early July. After targeting his victim, Rowdy fired several shots but missed. A few hours later, Rebel allegedly performed in the same clothes during a basketball fundraiser in Barclays Center that night.
Shmurda's attorney recently spoke out against the charges and called out the NYPD for deliberately targeting the rap community.
