Legendary emcee Grandmaster Caz detailed the early DJ culture and reveals the differences in today's DJs. The Bronx native says that back in the day the sound system was the first signifier of how great a DJ truly was, and Caz says the systems were extremely pricey.

Instead of getting everything on a flash drive, Caz explains that records were additional form of rating a DJ, because the albums were more exclusive than today. He adds that some DJs would even wash out the labels or put tape over them to keep up with the exclusivity of their records.
