A man from Waterloo, Iowa is in serious trouble with the law after driving his van into two police cars after a domestic dispute earlier this week.

According to ABC affiliate KCRG, police were called to the home of Kelvin Lee Plain Jr's girlfriend Tuesday morning. After police investigated the domestic violence dispute, Plain was asked to leave the premises. After the 25-year-old hopped in his car and drove away, he returned and rammed his car into a squad car, which hit another car.

Dash cam footage caught the bizarre moment and Plain's arrest. For now, Plain has been charged with assault on a police officer with intent to injure, assault on a police officer using a dangerous weapon and first-degree criminal mischief. Depending on the officer's injuries from the incident, Plain can also face a possible attempted murder charge.

The officers involved in the incident, Waterloo Police Officer Randall Hammitt and Sgt. Brooke Carter, were taken to a local hospital. They were released and placed on limited duty the same day.
