The legendary MC Lyte sat down with VladTV and shared her thoughts on Floyd Mayweather potentially not knowing how to read, saying she thinks it's sad if it's true and that she understands the embarrassment and shame that can come with illiteracy. Still, she encourages adults to seek out education when possible.
She also feels many athletes who don't follow through with their education don't do so because so much attention is paid to their sport of choice, as kids can graduate high school and make it into colleges based purely on athleticism and not education.
