Jack'N For Beats and Joell Ortiz sat down for a press conference where they addressed the unique rap competition that they've set in place for aspiring young artists.

They jokingly explained the difference between their name and the title of Ice Cube's "Jackin' For Beats" and how they launched this opportunity back in 2012 for Chicago's Grass Roots program.  Their project offers a $5,000 sponsorship to unsigned artists, courtesy of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey.  They allow artists to spit a 16-bar verse inside of their mobile studio without cursing or using explicit language of any kind, including the n-word.  They are each given two recording attempts, and the Top 10 out of the 50 semi-finalists go on to compete for the $5,000 sponsorship in the final competition.
