Smoke DZA spoke with VladTV exclusively about his process behind writing his raps. The Harlem rapper says he would rewrite songs from the late Biggie Smalls to understand rhyme schemes and consistent bars. DZA said his renditions of songs like "Mo Money, Mo Problems" served as inspiration for him.

The "City of Dreams" rapper decided to stop writing his rhymes in an effort to challenge himself to be a better rapper. The turning point came when he would lose endless raps on his cellphone.
