O.T. Genasis sat down with VladTV correspondent DJ Vick One and discussed his rise to fame, saying he can't believe that his smash "CoCo" has taken off the way it has in only 4 weeks. He speaks of the night he learned Funkmaster Flex was showing him major love on NYC radio, a huge deal for a little-known artist from Long Beach, California. O.T. says he's good friends with Cipha Sounds, which is likely how Flex got the record.

He also speaks of being signed to Atlantic Records in partnership with Busta Rhymes' label, Conglomerate, saying Busta saw him performing at an LA club during BET weekend and immediately wanted to know his label situation. They chopped it up as men first, and eventually decided to go into business together.
