UFC fighter Leslie Smith was defeated by Jessica Eye last night when the fighter nearly knocked off Smith's ear during the match.

MMA Fighting reports Eye and contender Leslie Smith were the only women on the UFC 180 card on Saturday evening. Eye led the first round as she landed shots on Smith including her ear. Medical personnel stepped in and allowed Smith to fight since she showed no serious injuries. Smith's lingering cauliflower ear was struck again by Eye in the second round. This time, blood bursted from her hardened ear as she continued to fight Eye.
Medics stepped in once again and ended the match, crowning Eye as the champion. In the video above, you can hear Smith saying "It doesn't hurt" in Spanish.

Smith talked to reporters after the fight and admitted that her injury was "pretty gnarly." She also explained that she was dealing with the cauliflower ear for about a month before the fight.

"It didn't hurt during the fight but when they started touching it, it hurt," she said. " I guess I have to figure out out ways to make sure this doesn't happen again."
