Nick Cannon is proud of Amber Rose for her evolution in Hollywood over the years. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cannon explains why he was captivated by her strength and ambition, as well his plans to take the model to the next level.
Cannon made headlines when he announced Amber would be signing to his Ncredible management company. Amber joins the list of talent that includes Cory Gunz, New Boyz and Soulja Boy. Romance rumors began when the news came just shortly after both celebrities confirmed divorces with their significant others, Mariah Carey and Wiz Khalifa.
The comedian explained what he has planned for Rose and why he appreciates her come-up.
"It's really about her curation and her tastemaker quality and at the same time just her iconic status in the short time that she's been able to be in the public eye," he said. "it's a multi tier branding process, everything from consumer products, to TV, to film, to literature."
He also praised the personality for her strength in her upbringing and growing past the role of a video vixen.
"[It's] the choices she's made," he said. "From being in this industry after growing up in South Philly, to being raised by a single parent, to her even choosing to wear her hair bald, that's strength right there and I believe that women look at that as empowering. She's unapologetic about everything, definitely unapologetic about who she is. She's not afraid to be herself. That message will come across with a lot of the things that we present to the marketplace."
