During last night's game at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, the Houston Rockets were victorious as they beat the Lakers 108-90 in the season opener, but the entire game was overshadowed by a near brawl between Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard.

In the fourth quarter with 7:07 left to play, Dwight elbowed Kobe on the left side of his chin after securing a rebound, which obviously set the "Black Mamba" off.  Despite the refs blowing their whistles for the obvious foul, Kobe felt as though he had a point to prove and decided to let Dwight know how he really feels about him.  He stepped up to the Houston Rockets big man, and the two players exchanged words before getting quickly separated by teammates and the officials.

Kobe still managed to provide fans with memorable trash talk, as he repeatedly channeled Detroit rapper Dej Loaf when he taunted Dwight to "Try Me," and even called him "soft" while the teams waited on the sidelines for the officials' decision.  Both Kobe and Dwight were called for technical fouls as a result of their verbal clash.

Even though Dwight fired back trash talk of his own, Kobe calling him "soft" and telling him "try me" set fans off and has stirred up loads of discussions on Twitter.  Some people have been cosigning Kobe calling Dwight "soft," while others have been clowning Kobe for acting tough and believe that Dwight would beat him in an actual fight.

Check out the many fan reactions to Kobe's taunts and trash talk above.
