Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle made some ill-advised comments about women's right to vote during a recent episode of "The Five."  While discussing the influence that President Barack Obama has on women today as opposed to when he first took office, one member of the discussion stated that more married women vote for the Republican party, while single women tend to be more supportive of the Democrats.  This prompted Kimberly to make some eyebrow-raising statements which ultimately resulted in her putting her foot in her own mouth.

Kimberly explained that she believes that younger, more attractive women shouldn't be taken seriously when it comes to serious matters such as voting, and used the topic of jury duty selection to prove her point.

"It's the same reason why young women on juries are not a good idea," she said. "They don't get it!  They're like healthy and hot and running around without a care in the world.  I just think, excuse them so they can go back on Tinder and Match.com."

Kimberly believes that young women don't have the same types of "life experiences" that older women have, which would make their votes more credible.  After noticing some of the backlash that came as a result of her statements, Kimberly addressed her previous comments on yesterday's show, October 23rd.  She explained that she was just trying to crack a joke on the mindstate of women during their more youthful years, and that people took her comments out of context.

"I made a joke," she said.  "If I wanted to excuse someone from jury service that is the language you use in the courtroom. I take the right to vote very seriously. I take the right to serve on a jury very seriously and I think you should be informed when you do both things."

For the record, Kimberly, 45, previously worked as a model for Victoria's Secret, among other outlets, in order to pay her way through law school many years ago.
