The lovely Mila J sat down with VladTV correspondent DJ Duffy and shared what it was like growing up of mixed race (Japanese & African-American), saying she never experienced blatant racism, but that around 5th-6th grade kids began asking her what she was, which confused her as a child. She also says that many people are taken aback by her accent when they hear her speak for the first time.

She also discussed the possibility of collaborating with younger sister, Jhene Aiko, saying they will definitely do it when it makes sense, but that their music is so different that they don't want to hop on a track together just to do it.
