Lord Jamar sat down with VladTV and shared his thoughts on the arrest of Dr. Cornel West while protesting in Ferguson, MO., saying his generation has been getting locked up for the cause for over 40 years, and while he admires the fact that West is still willing to do that, he wishes younger, more popular and influential figures would be willing to be arrested for what they believe in, figures like Jay Z, Drake, Lil Wayne and others.
When asked about protesters burning the American flag, Jamar has no problem with it, as he feels there's nothing sacred about it and that it doesn't represent him. He also doesn't understand how a nation which claims to adhere to freedom of speech and right to protest can criminalize the destruction of the American flag.
