Dej Loaf sat down for an exclusive interview with Jenny Boom Boom for VladTV, and the Detroit rapper says that despite her quiet demeanor, she really turns up on stage. She also adds that she never expected the reaction from her "Try Me" record that it received.
When it comes to the track, Dej says that her intentions weren't to promote violence with the song, and only used guns in the "Try Me" video to add truth to what really goes on in the streets. Speaking more about the video, Dej says that she wanted to feature different parts of where she grew up in Detroit to "keep things natural."
