VladTV Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes caught up with Smack/URL Co-Owner, Beasley, following the conclusion of their huge Summer Madness 4 battle event for an exclusive interview.

Beasley addressed the technical issues that occurred early on with the audio in the venue, and how they were able to work around that in order to produce the great quality battles that took place on the Smack/URL stage.  He was very pleased with every single battle, whether it be an incredible one-sided performance or a closely contested back-and-forth lyrical clash, Beasley believes that everyone delivered tonight because they knew that Summer Madness is considered to be the "Superbowl of MC Battling."

Beasley provided VladTV with exclusive news that they are in fact in talks with Cassidy to work out a deal to have him battle on their platform in the near future.  Cassidy, who was at SM4, acknowledged to Beasley and the URL staff that he believes their platform to be the one that matters most and hold the most credibility in the sport of Battle Rap, and he is very interested in competing under their brand.  He and Goodz were exchanging words on stage, so maybe that rematch could be in the works.  Regardless of who his opponent is, look out for a battle featuring Cassidy on Smack/URL in the near future.

Beasley also provided information for the upcoming Smack/URL battle event taking place this Saturday on October 4th, in Phoenix, Arizona.  "The Duel In The Desert" is a stacked card featuring some highly talented artists from Smack/URL, KOTD, and other more throwback names from the Grind Time era.  If you are in Arizona this Saturday, be sure to purchase your tickets for the event at CelebrityTheatre.TicketForce.com here.
