Oakland native Adrian Marcel sat down with VladTV and chopped it up a bit about working with R&B mainstay Raphael Saadiq, opening up for fellow Bay Area native Keyshia Cole and how his single, "2AM" blew up.
Marcel reveals that his management hooked him up with Saadiq, saying that the veteran Tony! Toni! Toné! singer isn't passing him the torch so much as helping him light his own.
He also shouts out Keyshia Cole for helping him get on by allowing him to open up for her while on tour, whom he also connected with through his great management team.
Marcel then revealed that he was very nervous about putting out "2AM," as most of his fans know him for smooth, soulful records, but the fact that it took off was a pleasant surprise.
