A truly unbelievable demonstration of strength and will power occurred on September 6th, when a young girl who referred to herself as the "New Hero," actually beat a Marine Cadet in a push-up challenge at the Active Heroes Foundation in North Carolina.  There were numerous bystanders who participated in the challenge to best the military personnel at fitness tests; however, the "New Hero" was the only one who succeeded. The challenge was set up by brave U.S. Army Sergeant Kimberly Munley, who confronted the Fort Hood gunman back in November 2009.

At first, the cadet and the young girl were battling it out in a close test of upper body strength, as they each managed to maintain a similar pace for quite some time.  After a while, the cadet began to show signs of fatigue, while the New Hero was able to push herself and complete even more push-ups.  Everyone cheered as they watched this young girl put in work, and her opponent even looked on absolutely baffled at how strong she was.
