Bay Area rapper Kafani has gone through a lot of struggles over the past year after being shot by an unknown assailant while filming a music video shoot, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. After a year of physical therapy, Kafani began working on the ReWalk machine, an exoskeleton that helps him walk and become mobile again.

The machine was approved by the FDA this year, and Kafani has been training on a loaner device, but hopes to eventually have a personal ReWalk machine. With his determined spirit, the rapper will walk in the "Trax-a-thon" fundraiser at the Silicon Valley Turkey Trot this November 27th, and needs donations to help get him to the finish line.
