Snoop Dogg is really about to propel Battle Rap to new heights with his creative "Gladiator School" event, set to go down the day before the BET Hip Hop Awards on September 19th, in Atlanta, Georgia.  He is being joined by one of the true pioneers of the modern Battle Rap culture, Murda Mook, who has helped recruit the talent as well as serve a role as co-host at the actual event. The creative part about Snoop's event, is that he is giving many unknown and aspiring Battle Rappers the chance to earn themselves a spot on the main stage through an auditioning process.

The audition process is open to anyone in the United States and is being conducted online.  Eager participants will have to upload a 30-60 second video onto their social media profiles and directly tag them to "@SnoopDogg," along with the hashtag "#GladiatorSchool."  The intention of the video is to showcase them spitting their most powerful verse, with hopes of earning a slot on the actual battle card.  Submissions must be completed by September 14th, 2014.

The event will be taking place at the Masquerade, located at 695 North Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30308.  The doors to the venue will open promptly at 5:00pm.  On top of the opportunity for unknown battlers to earn a spot on the card, what also makes this particular event so interesting is that it not only features some of the best male spitters in the sport, but it also features some of the most talented ladies from the most respected female Battle Rap league in the world, Queen Of The Ring.  Even one of the best and newest stars from KOTD, Rum Nitty, was given a spot on Snoop's Gladiator School.  The card is stacked with talent, from true veterans of the culture, to some of the newer, yet very talented faces.  It also appears as thought Tsu Surf and Daylyt are in some way involved with the Gladiator School event as well.

Check out the lineup thus far, below.  Also, be sure to check out Snoop's latest video above, where he addresses his love for Battle Rap and explains how epic this event will be.   For information on the Contest Rules, click here.  To purchase tickets to the event, click here.  For general information on the Gladiator School battle event, click here.
