The 2014 Video Music Awards was a very emotional event for Beyonce, her husband Jay Z, and their young daughter Blue Ivy, as they all shared a truly special moment after she put on a stellar performance right before accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.  Beyonce performed for nearly 20 minutes to close the show, basically going through the tracklist of her entire eponymous album.  Her lengthy performance was so mind-blowing that it left many fans believing that they were at a Beyonce concert rather than the MTV VMAs.  At one point during her performance of "Flawless," Blue Ivy was caught on camera dancing adorably while sitting on Jay Z's lap.  The look on his face was priceless, as he too was surprised to see his daughter bust out a few dance moves.

Once she finished her set, Bey broke down in tears as her husband Jay Z walked on stage carrying their daughter Blue Ivy in his arms.  The moments that followed were a very powerful message to the world to silence all of the separation rumors that have been floating around.  Jay walked up to his crying wife and embraced her warmly, as Beyonce hugged up against his chest before giving her daughter a soft kiss on the cheek.  Beyonce then turned her attention to her husband and they each puckered their lips and planted a very tender kiss on one another.  This was a very significant gesture to let the world know that they are in fact in love and happy together, especially since it is extremely rare to see Jay and Beyonce exchange such an open display of PDA in front of the world.

Blue was looking adorable as ever, and she even got her first taste of onstage spotlight as she said into the microphone, "Good job mommy!"  Jay then presented his wife with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, but not before offering a few words of pure praise for her talents.

"And the recipient of the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award," Jay said to the roaring crowd.  "And the greatest living entertainer, Beyonce!"

Beyonce was full of emotion as she gave her brief speech, where she further expressed her love for her family.

"I have nothing to say, but I am filled with so much gratitude," Bey said.  "I just thank god for this moment.  I love y'all so much.  Blue, Blue, I love you!  My beloved, I love you!  My fans, I love you!  MTV, I love you!  Goodnight!"

The crowd cheered her name repeatedly as she stood before them.  Her masterful performance, the general cuteness of Blue Ivy, and the family unity displayed on stage by the Carters brought fans into an energetic uproar on Twitter.  Jay Z honoring her as "the greatest living entertainer" really resonated throughout the masses, for so many people have since praised her for her incredible performance abilities.
