50 Cent and Charlemagne tha God have made a pretty compelling case that the highest-paid athlete in the world today, pro boxer Floyd "Money " Mayweather, may be illiterate.
The Internet has run with it and memes, jokes, and taunting have since commenced at an amazing rate.
Floyd responded with a picture of the two huge checks he cashed after extending his undefeated streak this year, but perhaps he should have used this video to leave his detractors speechless.
A vid has hit the net showing Floyd doing promotional drops for TV stations and broadcast networks that were to carry his fight with Marcos Maidana. "Money," in front of a green screen and reading from a teleprompter, breezes through the promotional statements with no problem.
Even after hitting the promo spots on the head, Floyd calls for retakes just so he can tweak them even more, sorta like how your favorite rapper may need multiple takes to get the delivery of a verse just right.
With his big bank and his apparent ability to read when he's focused on it, are you convinced that Floyd is literate? Or have his detractors already done irreparable damage to his persona?
