Talib Kweli was invited to appear on CNN today to speak with Don Lemon about the recent riots, protests and general tension between authorities and the people of Ferguson, Missouri following the death of unarmed teen, Mike Brown.

Kweli was clearly unhappy with CNN's coverage of the events and attempted to convey that to Lemon, who proceeded to cut him off when Kweli brought up a specific article on CNN.com that he felt was inaccurate and misleading. At this point, Kweli and Lemon went back and forth accusing each other of interrupting and not listening, with the respected Brooklyn MC threatening to walk off in the middle of the segment.

Talib then began to express his disappointment in Lemon for not being courteous enough to greet him before the interview. Lemon claims he did greet the rapper but that he was busy working on his phone and maybe Kweli took that as disrespect.

The interview ended on a awkward yet amicable note. Check out the full conversation above. The convo starts getting tense around 1:45.

Did Talib handle this as he should've? Sound off below.
