R&B newcomer Adrian Marcel recently sat down with VladTV for an exclusive interview where he spoke to our cameras at length about a number of hot button topics including his views on "ratchet" music, rappers using autotune to harmonize on tracks, his connection with fans, and his thoughts on Chris Brown biting his hairstyle.

"I like the fact that there's a little ratchetness in my music," Marcel admitted in regards to his style of music. "I'm a little ratchet. I like to get a little ratchet but at the same time there's class behind it."

Marcel went on to state that it is the connection with fans, as opposed to the raciness of his music, that is the true key to his success

"If you pay attention to my Twitter or Instagram, I'm very in tune with my fans," the singer said. "You can't just listen to the song and feel like you know who I am. You gotta listen to the song then you gotta go get the mixtapes. Then you gotta go on YouTube and watch the interviews. Then you gotta come to the shows to understand [...] this is an element that is of him but this is not every aspect of him."

When he was released from jail earlier this summer, fellow R&B singer Chris Brown debuted a greased down comb over, immediately drawing comparisons to Marcel, as the look has become Marcel's trademark. When asked about the swagger jacking, Marcel waved off comparisons to the singer while stressing individuality.

"There's no limit on creativity, man. Do what you feel," Marcel assured. "I'm a Chris Brown supporter, so if that's what you feel go for it. That would be crazy for me to feel affected by that."
