Shia Douglas and her business partner Sakara Burnes sat down with VladTV to discuss their clothing line Dymes Only, which they explain spawned from their friendship in high school. Shia details how she, fellow business partner Elisa Burton, and Sakara were the local "it girls" who were always rocking the flyest gear, and they started getting more buzz by throwing parties as The Pdees (Presidential Dymes).

The group launched their Pdees radio show and began developing a t-shirt line as a way to give guests something after the interview. Dymes business partner Elisa came up with a football jersey that was really well-received, and inspired their decision to go into clothing design.

Speaking more about the company, Shia says that despite being Ashanti's younger sister, she's paid her dues and is now confident as a clothing designer because she's put in the work. She also adds that her Grammy-winning sis is really supportive of the Dymes Only movement and loves to get exclusive designs from the company.
