One teen from India underwent major surgery to remove 232 teeth in cluster form in his mouth.

According to the BBC, doctors initially believed Ashik Gavai's extra teeth were huge tumors, but were actually a rare form of complex composite odontoma, in which a small gum forms various sizes of teeth. Some of the 17-year-old's extra teeth were the size of golf balls while others were the size of pearls.

The operation took seven hours, two surgeons and two assistants, but Gavai was left happy with 28 teeth.
