"Boondocks" creator Aaron McGruder may not have been involved in the fourth and final season of the highly rated animated show, but he's signed a new development deal with Adult Swim and his first live-action series, "Black Jesus" is set to debut August 7th.
The new show finds "Jesus" living in present day Compton, CA., where he attempts to spread kindness throughout the city in his own ratchet way, along with the help of his small group of loyal yet downtrodden followers.
