As Young Jeezy prepares for his upcoming album, 'Seen It All,' the rapper talked with Elliott Wilson about his involvement with YG, his new album, and his former protege Freddie Gibbs.

The rapper says his relationship with YG began after hearing some of his music in the club. After the young rapper was on Def Jam for three years, Jeezy began to work closely with the Bompton rapper for his debut, 'My Krazy Life.'

"I went to the label and I asked, 'What's up with YG?'" he said. "They said, 'He's cool,' They had  the "Toot It and Boot It" record and they really didn't understand it. So I went to a show he was doing and I saw all these gang members, all these chicks and I wondered, 'How did he get all these people together? It takes power and no disrespect to the label, but I don't think they saw that. They were watching the charts."

He also shared his thoughts over his issues with Freddie Gibbs. Jeezy says the two ended on good terms, but then the disses came rolling in a short time after Gibbs was released from his label, CTE World.

"It could have [worked.]" he said. "I put him on a song with Eminem. I put him on a song with T.I. I put him on numerous mixtapes that I had. I took him on tour. Took him around the world. I spent money on videos that he didn't use cause he didn't like 'em. And it wasn't his money. So, at the end of the day my whole thing was to him was 'I took you to every label in the game. They don't wanna sign you. I don't have no reason--I love you. ... I think your music is dope, but they don't want to sign you."

He says he wasn't surprised over the disses, but insists the deal was straight business.

"So, at the end of the day when I called him up I was like 'Yo, I can't really spend my money on you. I got family, other sh*t I gotta take care of. So, I'll help you all I can, but I can't fund it anymore.' Cool. Conversation went well. We got off the conversation it was straight, love. I hear diss records. What I'm supposed to do? I'm not replying to that. Nigga, we getting money...At the end of the day we all tried. It didn't work. That shit happens in business all the time."
