In today's #TBT clip, Jersey's own Redman breaks down his thoughts on one-time rap newcomers, Nicki Minaj and Drake, saying he supports the younger generation of artists, and that both Nicki and Drake had the right idea in terms of making sure their names would ring bells in the industry.
One reason Redman refused to hate on the Young Money rappers was that he remembers certain MCs who came before him hating on what artists like himself, Keith Murray, Onyx & Method Man were bringing to the table. He goes on to say he likes what they brought to the game and those who don't should step up to the plate themselves.
Red goes on to say that he also admires the two MC's for figuring out how to stay on people's minds, and that they definitely had an impact on the game, even early in their careers.
