A Miami police officer was recorded on his dash cam pulling over a silver car, and when the driver attempted to get out of the vehicle the officer body slammed him to the ground. Another officer soon arrived at the scene and also attempted to apprehend the driver.

While this may all seem like protocol, the driver happened to be Lt. David Ramras of the Miami Police Department's internal affairs divisions. The arresting officer, Marcel Jackson, can be heard explaining the situation on the video, saying, "He pushes open the door, hits me with the door. So I pushed the door back like stay in the car and he's like 'I'm lieutenant of police! I'm lieutenant of police!' and he pushes his way out of the car. So I took him to the ground. I've never seen this guy. I don't even know who this guy is."

An internal investigation is currently underway, and the case has been given to the state attorney's office which will determine whether to press charges.
