O Red shared his thoughts on the upcoming July 12th battle between Joe Budden vs. Hollow Da Don on Shady Records' Total Slaughter battle event.
While Red is "Team Jersey" all the way and therefore pulling for Joe to do well, logically he knows that he has to put his money on Hollow. He believes that if Joe does exceptionally well, it'll inspire other industry artists to leech off of his accomplishment and take Battle Rap for granted by thinking that it's easy and anyone can do it.
This brought up a smooth transition to discussing the possibility of Cassidy stepping back into the ring. O Red strongly believes that Cassidy has to battle, because Red thinks that he has talked too much trash about Battle Rap over the years to avoid stepping into the ring. O Red is confident that he will beat Cassidy and he doubts that Cass can compete at this level with the best in the sport. He also stated that he thinks "90% of the top tier Battle Rappers will beat him."
