It's been an active weekend in battle rap. Not only did two major events happen on both the east and west coasts, but fights between four top names within the culture went down.

Saturday night, LA's Dizaster & Brooklyn's Math Hoffa's long awaited battle ended in a serious scuffle. While anyone who follows the culture knows that the two have exchanged words in the past, no one anticipated the battle getting physical, especially not with Dizaster throwing the first punch.

Another unexpected fight broke out between two battle MCs this weekend as well, this time between two of the top female rappers within the culture. Phara Funeral of the Bronx and Harlem's Ms. Hustle got into it, and with little details as to why it happened, fans are in a frenzy over the news and footage.

According to a street sign which can be seen in the video, the fight went down on 141st & Crimmins Ave in The Bronx. The video begins by showing Funeral with a tight grip on Hustle's hair, while punching her on the side of the head. There then seems to be a stand-off where neither girl will let go of the other. Eventually, Phara backs up while Hustle wraps up her hair and the two officially square up.

It isn't clear who swings first, but Phara soon grabbed Hustle's hair again and gets a few more punches in. The camera angle makes it difficult to see if Hustle landed any hits. Eventually the two release each other and they go their separate ways.

Afterwards, Ms. hustle took to Twitter and uploaded a picture of her face, scar-free, saying:

FACE GOOD NO MARKS LETS TRY THIS AGAIN SOMETIME WITHOUT ALL THE HAIR PULLING ..... GN

It is unclear if the fight had anything to do with Phara dropping Ms. Hustle's name during her battle vs. QB at Queen of the Ring's "No Holds Barred" event, but it definitely comes as a shock, as most battle fans thought the two were friends, as Phara stood behind Hustle during her URL battle vs. Jaz the Rapper.
