Canadian Hip-Hop duo Swollen Members sat down with VladTV to discuss Drake's success, how he's changed the worldview of Canada, and their take on mainstream vs. underground Hip-Hop.

Madchild started off by revealing that he's surprisingly a huge Drake fan, and admires what the Toronto native has done in terms of changing how the world sees Canadian music.

"I think he's representing our country incredibly well. He's an anomaly, he's one of the biggest stars in the world. I think him being from Canada and handling his role responsibly and holding himself together while he's doing everything, I think we can be nothing but proud of him."

When asked about mainstream American Hip-Hop vs. more lyrical Hip-Hop, Madchild says there's room for both, giving the example that sometimes we just want to celebrate life and not analyze so much, therefore songs with simple hooks work in the club when you want to let loose.

Prevail then speaks of drawing inspiration from unique and unconventional places, and loves the fact that Hip-Hop is still a place where people can tell their individual stories and strive for more.
