Debo, Babs, and Vague have worked very hard to elevate the status of Queen Of The Ring since its genesis in the Battle Rap culture years ago, and after all of the hard work that they've put in, they've managed to reach the big stage with their upcoming event, "No Holds Barred." This is by far the biggest event in the history of QOTR, with both the stacked amount of talent featured on the card, and the venue where the event will be held.
This is the first time that QOTR will host a battle event outside of a boxing gym, as they've relocated to the renowned Irving Plaza venue, which is the same location that Smack/URL just held their successful NOME 4 event. Some fans have expressed worry that QOTR will lose its essence if they abandon the boxing ring combative format, but fear not, for while QOTR is making its debut in an official performance venue, they are still going to have a large 20 by 20 ring installed for NHB.
Leading up NHB, Debo, Babs, and Vague managed to film a clever compilation documentary compiling interviews from each of the combatants into one video for the fans to get a sense of what to expect when the day arrives. Everyone on the card is extremely talented, fearless, and confident in their ability to dismantle their opponent. The six battles all have the potential to either be incredible classics, or gruesome body bags.
It all goes down on June 28th at Irving Plaza. The event will start early at 12pm and run until 6pm. Do not be late, for you won't want to miss a single second of any of these classic battles. Who do you think will be victorious?
